Vogue Italia 1997 feat. Angela Lindvall I love when older fashion editorials still feel so relevant. The minimalism, the strappy shoes, that leopard bikini...all things I could see in editorials today yet this just has that perfect vintage touch.
Mariacarla never fails to amaze me--she is one of the first models I learned about when I started browsing thefashionspot and reading vogue when I was 14, and seriously, she just keeps getting better!
With Thanksgiving over and Christmas right around the corner, I realized the other day that I need to start thinking about my new years dress! Last year I wore an amazing Elizabeth and James black cocktail dress, but this year I'm thinking maybe I'll go a little crazier. Have you guys started thinking about new years? Tell me your plans!
Nothing like wearing bright colors when the skies are gray--winter doesn't have to be all about dark colors. Just take your summer outfits and add tights and a jacket! (east coasters, I live on the west coast, can you tell?)
Vogue Nippon Oh goddd Cara Delevigne and these dresses is almost too dreamy of a combination for me to handle. Definitely have a new obsession for her.
As a glasses wearer, I'm much more aware of details when it comes to eyeglasses (or at least it feels that way). I've been wearing the same Burberry frames for years and years now, just because I feel they suit my face so well. Sorry for the punny title, but I'm thinking of changing my frames one of these days just to switch things up, and all these are a lot crazier than the ones I wear but I'm kind of okay with that! Also, I just watched the newest Selby film about Lucy Chadwick--if any of you can ID those frames, I will love you forever! They are the ones I truly want and I can't find the designer anywhere! I'd post a picture but I'm writing this from the airport and the internet sucks. Love you.
Got back from the east coast this morning and it's suddenly 80 degrees where I am--weather is so weird sometimes. Taking this sunny summer inspiration (hello Australians and people on the other hemisphere!) and kind of just running with it...even though I didn't pack shorts.
For me, sweater weather is better weather. I spent the whole day (my last in DC!) with my fam walking around, eating a great meal, and seeing the musts of the capitol. I can't tell you how excited I am to curl up by the fire in my favorite sweater with a mug of tea and just relaaax.
For some reason, I feel like this is exactly how Tati Cotliar would dress if this wasn't an editorial--either way the slouchy letterman's jacket and the mickey mouse sweater are so easy and yet so chic--and who can resist all that denim?
So many textures going on in this editorial, it's great. And it's been a while since I've seen Iekeliene in an editorial that I've loved, so I'm doubly happy with this. I love how beaches never go out of rotation for editorials, it just somehow becomes more normal to wear tights and heels and a huge coat.
Amanda Seyfried is one of the few actresses who seems so genuinely happy and confident and chic (not to mention gorgeous). From now on I'll just ask myself WWAD--what would amanda do?
Finally made it to the East Coast! It's cold and overcast and windy and I'm sitting by the fire listening to the tree branches outside tap against the windows. So so nice, so I'm posting some sweater inspiration. In other news, when I was at the airport, I saw Amber Rose! She was walking by herself so my sister and I asked for a picture, had to share:
She was actually really nice, and wearing the Jeffrey Campbell Tardy's that I have--except of course in neon.
