I love Sundays. At least Sundays where I don't have something major to do the next day, and today is one of those days. Instead, I got to sleep in, wake up to rain, eat a reuben in a little hole-in-the-wall place with my boyfriend, take a long shower, watch the red carpet AND the entirety of the SAG awards, and put up a new header that I'm so excited about! I've been wanting to do something like it for a while, and tonight with the power of two brains (my friend Jenna's got the photoshop power, I've got the Google Image searching power) we came up with this. I don't usually do posts that are completelyyy non-fashion related, but I really wanted to post these pictures I took of the pink lilies my boyfriend got for me. Lilies are my favorite flower and I've never had pink ones before and I love them. (Love you, boyfriend). Anyway, the blog has been a little hectic lately as a reflection of my life--I got some weird sickness that I don't know what it is but I'm not exactly the picture of health, and have been dealing with school and the rest of life on top of it. As I was putting this post together I was trying to remember if I had mentioned the new shoes I got to start the year off right...if not, here they are! For those of you who have been reading this blog for a while, you probably know by now that for the past couple of seasons I've been reallllly liking the pointy toe again...I was very anti for a long time but I guess the tides are changing. They're black suede Prada pumps with silver rivets/studs/not really sure what to call them. I'm in love.(photos by me)

Talk about a pop of color. And the perfect black boots. So many people have mid-calf black boots (me included)...it's weird how in a way they can all look the same but then I see a pair like this and they're obviously above and beyond (for me at least).(phtumblr)
After the way the weather's been acting lately, I guess it doesn't really surprise me that it feels like early summer in the middle of January. Still not quite warm enough to go completely without a coverup, but I'm really liking the idea of some short sleeved knitwear, or a sweater thats oversized enough that i can roll the sleeves up past my elbows.(phflickr)
