I opened the forum up to you guys a little over a week ago, and did a q&a post. I just got home from class and I'm eating hummus and pita chips, and I thought it might be a good time to answer your questions, starting with a request for a photo of me:

1.How'd you come up with the blogname Pepper and Chips?
It's kind of a funny story actually, it was inspired by this video--watch it all the way through and I'm sure you'll figure it out. I was a freshman in college when I made the blog and obsessed with that video at the time...

2. What do you study/what are you hoping to have as a career once you've graduated??
I'm a World Lit major and I'm working on a Film minor, but I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with it--hopefully something in fashion. The only concrete plan is to go to FIDM in LA after I graduate from UCSC.

3. Ideal vacation?
Hm. There's a few places I'd really love to go--Cuba, Argentina, Greece, Bavaria in Germany, and back to Jamaica.

4.Girl crush?
Signe Siemsen always and forever. Abbey Lee. Lulu Chang.

5. Make up routine?
Haha! I really don't have one. Burt's Bees chapstick and nothing else 5 days a week, on weekends add some Maybelline mascara and black liner and that's about the extent of it. I've never really been a makeup girl.

6. Favorite item of clothing you own?
This is a really hard question and I'm probably biased because I just bought them--but probably my black high waisted shorts that I just picked up. I foresee having a great relationship with them this summer.

7. Favorite shoes you own?
My mustard yellow Robert Clergeries. They're not my most comfortble, but they're definitely my most prized.


8. Item of clothing you want to own?
Not technically clothing, but the Celine Boston bag in black. I would wear it till I die!

9. Shoes you want to own?
Prada platform sneakers! AHH! What do I have to do to get my hands on a pair!?

10.Favorite designers?
Phoebe Philo, Alber Elbaz, Miuccia Prada, Hannah MacGibbon for Chloe.

11. Do you watch stuff on youtube?
Haha yes, but I never discover things on youtube--people have to show them to me and I'm usually a little out of the loop on current viral vids.

12. Do you prefer tumblr or blogspot?
I was just having this conversation with Jenna! Now that I've actually become active on tumblr I've definitely picked up on the difference between the two, but I don't think I can pick one over the other. Tumblr is all about sharing images and reblogging, so I embrace that when I use my tumblr. On blogspot, I try to post more original content or stuff that I don't see around a lot of other blogs, and I only update my blogspot once or twice a day. They're both just different mediums, and I like em both.
Why did you decide to start this blog?

13. Tell us more about your city.
I live in Santa Cruz California. It's great because it's on the coast so we have the beach but theres also a huge forest and places to hike and bike and walk, all things that I love to do. Shopping isn't great here, but San Francisco is only like an hour and a half away!

14. Why did you start blogging?
I liked what I had seen on other blogs and after trying blogging once and having it kind of peter out, I started Pepper and Chips one day in my dorm room just because I figured I saved enough pictures already as it was, so I might as well share them.
