grey day

Who knew that Paris would be cold in the summer? Kind of reminds me of San Francisco summers. On top of it I've come down with some sort of (hopefully short term) illness, and I'm craving that California sunshine. Gonna self-medicate with tea and ginger ale, and hopefully I'll be back in action by tomorrow!

I know I rarely do outfit posts but I just felt like showing you guys this one. It's from the night I turned 21 and ate out in Paris with some good friends :) Wearing an elizabeth and james dress, jeffrey campbell shoes, and a bycorpus jacket.

black white grey

My friend calls all those soft somber colors 'dead colors', and I think they're my favorite kind of colors. Grey, light blue, black, pale greens, whites, etc etc. Paris has been rainy and cold for almost a week now, just like the weather in Santa Cruz in the winter. Was unprepared for the bipolar quality of the weather here, but at least I have a wardrobe full of suitable colors. Staying in to study for a test now and fiiiinally hitting up the Louvre later tonight. Can't believe I haven't been already!

Tattoo and hair inspiration. Keeping it simple has been inspiring me lately. Also my 21st birthday is on Monday and I just bought myself a birthday present on a random street in Paris and I can't WAIT to show you guys! Ah it's so good. Making a day trip to Versailles and Monet's house in Giverny this weekend but taking today easy since I still need to recover from Bastille Day celebrations. I miss blogging on the regular but this trip is going so quickly! Happy mid-july :)

Sorry I've been exceptionally MIA lately, it seems that that's just the way it's gonna be while I'm here--only a month left of my program which is so crazy! Paris has been treating me wonderfully, I just got back from the weekend in Amsterdam and now it's time for a recovery day, staring at pretty pictures and doing some much needed blogosphere catching up.
